APOPKA, Fla. — A depression has closed the eastbound lanes of Welch Road east of Rock Springs Road in Apopka, according to the Apopka Police Department.
Crews are working to repair the issue, and officials said the work is expected to take several hours.
Drivers are urged to use alternate routes until the roadway is cleared.
Police are also asking motorists to use caution in the area and watch for emergency vehicles.
Officials have not provided additional details about what caused the sinkhole or when the road is expected to reopen.
