Convicted sex offender John Lytus was sentenced Monday to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty to the second-degree murder of Laura Negangast.
Negangast was found dead in September in a ditch off International Speedway Boulevard outside DeLand.
Several rape victims and family were in court for the emotional hearing.
