ORLANDO, Fla. — Another round of possibly severe weather is moving into Central Florida from the west, prompting a severe thunderstorm watch in Orlando and surrounding areas until 4 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.
In Lake and western Orange counties, a second significant weather advisory was issued to alert residents of a thunderstorm near Groveland that could bring penny-size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph to said regions throughout the morning.
The threat of severe weather has been elevated to level three out of five for all of the Orlando area, according to the NWS Storm Prediction Center:
In general, all mentioned warnings include the risk of localized flooding from torrential rainfall.
