Russian-paid social media ads rallied Trump voters in Florida

A series of ad campaigns released by the House Intelligence Committee reportedly showcases the political motivations paid for by Russian sponsored Internet companies. A handful of the images showcases an effort to rally Donald Trump voters in parts of the Sunshine State.

Facebook provided the advertisements and fake accounts to Congress amid the ongoing investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

One campaign called "Florida goes Trump!" promoted Donald Trump rallies in 17 cities across Florida. According to The Daily Beast, the marketing effort spread across Instagram and Facebook, encouraging users to attend a "patriotic state-wide flash mob."
