Police from second-deadliest mass shooting in US reach out to Orlando PD

Prior to Orlando's instantaneous appearance at the top of the 'deadliest mass shooting in US history' list, Aurora, Colorado, had that horrible distinction.

On July 20, 2012, a gunman walked in during a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises movie.

Twelve people were killed, another 70 others were injured in the shooting.

Gunman James Holmes was been sentenced to 12 life sentences plus 3,318 years for the crime.

The Aurora theater shooting had the largest number of casualties in a US shooting until the Orlando terror attack on June 12th.
