Person injured in shooting outside Orlando convenience store

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police are investigating after one person was injured in a shooting Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened at a 7-Eleven on Colonial Drive, near Westmoreland Drive, just before 6 a.m.

Police said two people were involved in a “physical altercation” when one person shot the other.

Investigators said the person who was shot was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the shooter, who has a concealed weapons permit, remained at the scene.

Officers said the investigation is ongoing.
