Orange County, Fla. — There will be no Friday night lights at Apopka High School this week, as Orange County Public Schools postponed the football game against Ocoee High School because of COVID-19 cases.
According to a statement from the school district, the decision to postpone Friday’s game “was made out of an abundance of caution due to COVID-19 cases and quarantines associated with the Ocoee team.”
This district said it had notified individuals and parents of students who had been in close contact with confirmed cases.
No date has been set for the rescheduled game.
