New Yorker cover paints Trump as clown hiding in the woods

The artist of the latest cover portrait for the New Yorker describes the President as a "dangerous clown." The illustration will run on next Monday's edition of the magazine, one day before Halloween.

Asked about the painting, artist Carter Goodrich told the New Yorker "I'm still just as stunned now as I was a year ago, on Election Night."

Many Twitter users likened the photo to Pennywise from the movie It.

Donald Trump has made several appearances on the cover, almost always showcasing the controversy surrounding his presidency.
