Altamonte Springs, Fla. — Police in Altamonte Springs are investigating a shooting that took place Sunday morning.
PIO Evelyn Estevez says around 10:40 a.m., it happened on Ballard Street and Beverly Avenue near the Charter Pointe Apartments.
Witnesses say they heard a single gunshot and when deputies arrived, they found a 29 year old white male with a gunshot wound to the chest and upper neck area.
Estevez says there were two roommates with him, but there is currently no information on any possible suspects. This is an active investigation.
The victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, but no word on his current medical condition.
