Local contractors; volunteers help make improvements to the Give Kids the World Village

Kissimmee,Fla. —

Volunteers from across Central Florida spent most of their Monday making repairs to the Give the Kids the World Village in Kissimmee.

AGC Charities, local contractor Wharton-Smith, along with dozens of volunteers helped build and install nearly 1,000 feet of new fencing at the 89-acre Village. The new fencing serves as a safety barrier around the largest of several ponds located in the village.

“Projects like this offer our members the opportunity to use their skills to help support amazing organizations like Give Kids the World Village,” said Thomas Brown, the chairman of AGC Charities Inc. “Taking this fence off of the Village’s to-do list leaves them with more resources and time to focus on giving families with critically ill children a week they will never forget.”

Give Kids the World is a nonprofit resort that provides week-long, cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families from around the world who want to visit Central Florida.
