Local charity holds food drive for formerly homeless residents

ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando-based non-profit organization that provides affordable housing for formerly homeless men and women is holding a month-long food drive and time is running out if you want to help.

Pathlight HOME operates two apartment complexes in Orlando where more than 600 people reside.

They’re collecting non-perishable food items to be distributed among the residents of Maxwell Terrace and Maxwell Garden Apartments.

“We have a number of residents who really need some of the basics, the basics being food for the cupboard,” said Robinson.

Pathlight HOME’s director of marketing and communications spoke to News 96.5 WDBO about the effort.

The food drive runs through Thursday.
