Las Vegas, NV — Tony Miles was the second place finisher in this weekend's World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, but came home with a cool $5 million.
John Cynn of Indiana and Miles held a record-setting poker marathon Saturday night/Sunday morning playing against each other for 10 hours at the World Series of Poker Main Event. Cynn, a 33-year-old poker professional won the battle at the Rio hotel and casino and goes home with an $8.8 million first prize.
Cynn eliminated Miles on the 442th hand of the final table, after playing almost 200 hands just against each other with bricks of $100 bills at the table.
Miles, who attended UNF in Jacksonville , now lives in Lake Mary was a long shot to make any in series. Until now, his previous top winning was only $18,000 in a 2011 event at bestbet Jacksonville.
