Orlando, Fla. — Dr. Donna "Mickey" Reynolds, 49, had no idea when she decided to join the school Step team at last week’s pep rally that she would become an internet sensation.
Reynolds who graduated from Lake Mary High in 1986, told TODAY "I didn't know how the students would react," Reynolds knew she had the moves, having been a captain of the school dance team as a student and coaching two dance teams earlier in education career.
"My expectation was that they would be dying laughing, that they would think it was hysterical. But I have never heard such cheering. I was so blown away by how much they were cheering."
Not only did Reynolds graduate from Lake Mary High, her father was the founding principal of the school back in 1981.
At Friday night's performance, students and parents who showed up to support the school said Reynolds nailed the performance.
