Orlando, Fla. — Sometimes the men and women who serve our country may not get the recognition they deserve, and we may not even get a chance to face them in person and thank them for what they do or have done.
Today, the Ace Cafe is having a special fundraiser where you can shake hands, talk with, and thank the heroes from World War 2, Korea and Vietnam. The "Hot Rods for Heroes Car Show" event is presented by Honor Flight Central Florida, who will send these folks to visit their memorials in Washington D.C. at no cost!
At the event, there will be a Vietnam War 50th Commemoration Medal Ceremony, where all the Vietnam Vets will be invited to sign the Vietnam Tribute Truck. You might even get a chance to bump into former WWE Superstar and American Gladiator turned Longwood Deputy Mayor Matt Morgan, who will be there. There is also food, a raffle, and classic hits from the 1950’s to keep you company as you check out the classic cars driven by the veterans themselves.
The event will be held at Ace Cafe Orlando on 100 West Livingston Street from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
