Florida woman arrested after biting fisherman’s line

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL — A 22-year old Florida woman is facing two misdemeanor charges, after her interaction with a fisherman in St. Augustine on Tuesday.

According to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, Alexandria Turner, was swimming in the ocean at the St. Johns County Pier. She then allegedly swam up to man’s fishing line, yelled obscenities at him, bit his line, and then swam away with the rigging.

Police say that Turner became belligerent when they arrived, and that she smelled like alcohol. According to the arrest report, a deputy claims that Turner screamed she was naked, despite having a bathing suit on at the time.

Turner is facing disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer without violence charges.
