FL Democrats unveil ‘paper towel toss’ billboard ahead of Pence visit

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Ahead of Vice President Mike Pence’s visit to a Kissimmee church on Thursday, the Florida Democratic Party unveiled a billboard slamming President Donald Trump’s response to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.

The phrase "Prohibido Olvidar" meaning "Never Forget" appears on the billboard with a picture of President Trump throwing a roll of paper towels to Puerto Ricans not long after Hurricane Maria in 2017.  On their website the Florida Democratic Party says, "The billboard will be up during Vice President Mike Pence's event in Kissimmee and will run Monday through Sunday."  It's located on the southbound side of the Florida Turnpike before the Orange Blossom Trail exit.

Vice President Pence will begin his Florida tour on Thursday at the Venetian Events Center on Tampa at 1:30 p.m. .  He will then take a bus tour over to Kissimmee and appear at "Latinos for Trump" event at 6:00 p.m. at the Nacion de Fe church at 4555 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy.

“When the Americans in Puerto Rico needed President Trump the most, he threw paper towels at them instead of releasing federal emergency funds,” said FDP Eecutive Director Juan Penalosa.
