It’s not uncommon for a disgruntled teenager to run away from home, but one girl from China ran away to make a living playing games in Internet cafes for 10 years.
Xiao Yun, now 24, from Zhejiang, left home 10 years ago following an argument with her parents, according to Asia News Network.
During a routine check on an internet café early one morning, police officers found Yun alive and well over the weekend.
Cops caught the woman using a fake ID, before she confessed to living at several different Internet cafes since she ran away in 2005.
Yun claimed she took jobs at some of the cafes and relied on food handouts, while spending most of her time playing video games online.
The Qianjiang Evening News reports the adult-daughter shared a big embrace with her mother after she was found about 100 miles away from her family's home.
"I have a stubborn personality and a short temper, so I used to scold her. But it's been 10 years and now she's an adult. I will never scold her again," her mom said.
