Baby bobcat turned in to Orlando fire station

Some Orlando firefighters got quite the surprise yesterday when someone dropped off a wild animal.

It was brought to Station 7 on Goldwyn Ave. by a man who said he found it in the area and didn't know what to do.

The man initially thought it was a cheetah.

Members of the fire station checked with Orange County Animal Services, and then with the Nature Wildlife Refuge and Education Center of Orlando to determine what it was.

After a bit of googling and some back and forth, they finally determined the animal wasn't a cheetah, but rather a 2-week-old-female Bobcat.

Firefighters gave the wild animal to a member of the wildlife refuge, so they could take care of it.
