Orlando, Fla. — Thousands of runners closed out the 2022 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend with a 26.2 mile journey through the parks. Along with those runners were the many spectators cheering them on.
Well one spectator named Ryan Gagnon, held up a sign at Epcot that reads: “You Run Disney Better Than Chapek”. Bob Chapek has previously been the subject of scrutiny amongst Disney fans, with retired Imagineers spreading a petition across social media to have him fired as CEO.
Producer Alarn Horn tells the Financial Times that Chapek is not a fan of his “bean counter” reputation and that he has had “a rough year and a half”, referring to the cast member layoffs during the start of the pandemic and the wage cuts.
