Accused Cocoa hotel killer is back in Florida and denied bail

Cocoa, Fla. — The man accused of killing a 65 year old Ocala man at a hotel in Cocoa is behind bars on no bail.

A nationwide manhunt was issued for 19 year old Joshua Keravouri of Maryland earlier this month after 65 year old Terry Scott Hilliard of Ocala was found dead at the Dixie Motel in Cocoa on Forrest Avenue.

Investigators found Hilliard's car, which was abandoned at Hialeah, and they spotted Keravouri at a gas station.

Keravouri of Maryland turned himself into police in Georgia Monday morning.

He was then extradited from Georgia to the Brevard County jail on Saturday.

During his first appearance before a judge Sunday morning, he was denied bail.

Keravouri faces charges of grand theft and first degree premeditated murder. He is expected to face a judge for an arraignment on March 22nd.
