6-year-old boy hurt in incident with parking garage gate in Orlando

Orlando, Fla. — Police in Orlando say a tragic accident has put a 6 year old boy in the hospital Saturday morning.

They say it happened at an apartment building on the 300 block of Concord Street where the boy was caught up in a roll up parking garage. Officers were able to get the child out and perform CPR before rushing him to the hospital, where he was initially reported in serious condition.

Initially, police say they were under the impression that the child has passed away from his injuries, but later confirmed that the child is currently on life support. They say this is still an active investigation.
