6 Dead in 2 separate Orlando shootings, just 6 miles apart

Orlando Police say 6 people are dead in two separate shootings in Orlando on Easter Day, happening just 6 miles apart from each other.

Orlando, FL — It all started at 2am, when officers of the Orlando Police Department were called to 614 Grand Street near Paramore for a domestic violence incident.

Upon the officers arrival, sounds of shots being fired inside the home could be heard. As backup was called, officers saw the male suspect, who has been identified as 28 year old Lacorvis Tamar Daley, come out of the home and open fire on the officers.

Chief Eric Smith says the officers fired back, killing the suspect. As officers and investigators entered the home, they found three shooting victims.

The adults were pronounced dead at the scene and the child was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Orlando police has identified the three victims as Carol Fulmore, 69, Damionna Reed, 13, and Cameron Bouie, 7.

Two Orlando police officers who fired their weapons, striking and killing the suspect are on administrative leave pending the outcome of a Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation.

Roughly 16 hours later, just 6 miles away, Orlando Police responded to Lescot Lane near Poppy Park for reports of shots fired.

According to OPD, five people were transported to nearby hospitals, 2 have died and at this time the three other’s conditions are unknown

Investigators are still working on suspect information and will release any new details when it becomes available.
