A freak storm covered homes and cars with six feet of hail

Guadalajara, Mexico — Think Florida’s summer storms are bad, it appears we are not alone in the suffering!

A freak hail storm literally buried part of Guadalajara, Mexico, Sunday.

The ice pellets fell fast and furiously, piling up about six feet deep, literally burying cars.

Nearly five million people live in Guadalajara, which is located North of Mexico City and officials say at least six neighborhoods were hit by the hail.

They, like us, have been experiencing hotter than normal temperatures lately with averages near 88F.

Nearly 200 homes and businesses reported hail damage and officials say at least 50 vehicles were lost some swept away by the deluge of ice in hilly areas, others buried under piles of pellets.
