Imagine having a train that could take you from Miami, to OIA, all the way to Tampa.
That's precisely what Virgin Trains USA has in the works.
They even want to include a stop at Walt Disney World.
But the exact path those trains will take between cities is a puzzle who’s solution is currently being brainstormed.
As the Orlando Business Journal writes:
The two companies entered into a memo of understanding in November, and engineering and design work for the project kicked off, according to a new monthly revenue and ridership report from Virgin Trains, whose $4 billion expansion from West Palm Beach to Orlando is underway.
But the question remains: What's the right path for the train to take to bring millions of visitors from the Orlando International Airport — the primary hub for the rail — to Central Florida's most-visited theme park?"
One suggestion includes I-Drive and Universal Studios.
