A developer has proposed a five-story luxury hotel on a Winter Park lake.
Plans for the Henderson Hotel on Lake Killarney include 132 rooms, banquet and event space, as well as parking.
Winter Park Historic Hotels Group recently resubmitted updated plans for the Henderson Hotel. The City of Winter Park’s Planning and Zoning Board will discuss the new plans on December 1.
The proposed site is along U.S. Highway 17-92 on Lake Killarney between Fairview Avenue and Beachview Avenue.
The plan has been under discussion for more than a year. The developer on the project, Winter Park Historic Hotels Group, withdrew the proposal last year after residents of the adjacent neighborhood launched a website to fight the developer’s plan.
There is also a community meeting planned for Thursday, November 19. The meeting will be held virtually.
