Lars was nominated by his father-in-law, Gary Fox, who said “I would like to nominate my son-in-law, Lars Akkerman. He is a Lineman for KUA - Kissimmee Utility Authority, having responded to many regions impacted throughout the nation. He moved to the USA from The Netherlands when he was 15, years ago. He has fully integrated himself to American culture, and is a proud US citizen. My daughter and Lars call St. Cloud their home, living on 5 acres with their horse Andy, dog Klein, cat Mac and 15 chickens.”
