FREEHOLD, N.J. — There they were, sprung from cages near Highway 9.
What better way to look back at your glory days than by having an ice cream cone?
Rock ‘n’ roll legends Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi were spotted at a New Jersey landmark on Wednesday, rolling up in the Boss’ sports car and stopping at the Jersey Freeze in Freehold Township, NJ.com reported.
The dessert fare was simple: Two cones. Springsteen had a chocolate dip and Bon Jovi had sprinkles, the Asbury Park Press reported.
The two rock stars stayed for about 10 minutes and took a photo with Jersey Freeze owners Matt Cangialosi and Katie DiNonno, the newspaper reported.
Springsteen is a regular at Jersey Freeze, an ice cream he has frequented since he was a child.
“This was me and Matt’s first picture with (Springsteen) -- we usually don’t bother him when he comes,” DiNonno told the Press. “But today it was both of them -- there’s no way. I’m taking a picture. It was fun.”
