Texas man takes advantage of winter storm, skis empty highway

Houston, TX — With nearly everyone in Houston staying off of the snow and ice-covered roads, one man decided to use the situation to his advantage.

Bored, with power out at their house, Travis McGullam decided to grab a beer, step into his skis, and latch on to the back of his friend’s pickup truck.

Video from the back of the truck shows McGullam and his friends cruising the highway while cars slow down to gawk at the strange sight.

McGullam says he wasn’t too worried about the danger because there were “no steep hills, no trees, no none of that [sic]. Just looking for cars coming.”

He added he would do it again, given the chance.
