Utah man uses 3D printer to make a bulletproof stormtrooper suit

Saratoga Springs, Utah — A Computer Software Engineer made a man-size stormtrooper suit using 3D printers and it’s bulletproof!

Yes, Nils Rasmussen is a Star Wars fan and he told KSL he just decided one day to make the suit.

Thanks to a friend who works at a company that makes bulletproof cars, the suit is also bulletproof and they even tested it at the range.

Rasmussen shared the tedious nine month process of creating the outfit using five different 3D printers on YouTube.Com.

He also shared scenes from the firing range where the duo shot both bullets and blasters at the creation.

Rasmussen told reporters if there was anything he would change about the suit is that it is a bit rigid.

"Next time he may try a softer fabric " KSL reported.

According to his YouTube video, there could be a next time.
Rasmussen said if his video received 50,000 likes he will attempt to make a bullet-proof Mandalorian.
