U.S. Senator Rick Scott is set to visit Iowa today furthering speculation that the former Florida governor may run for the White House in 2024.
Scott serves as chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee and will reportedly be in the Hawkeye State for a fundraising appearance in Cedar Rapids with the Iowa GOP.
The Republican party is working to regain seats in House and Senate during the upcoming midterm election in 2022. Scott told the Des Moines Register he believes fellow U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley will run for re-election next year to seek his eighth term.
Scott has also been active on social media this week talking about Iowa politics.
I am glad @RitaHartIA has finally come to her senses. She and @SpeakerPelosi tried to steal a state-certified election and they FAILED.

Make no mistake: if Republicans hadn't pushed back, Pelosi and Democrats would have continued their attempted power grab. https://t.co/fHmsLhDq33
As chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Scott’s primary responsibility is getting Republican Senators re-elected to office.
And while some are speculating that Scott may have higher aspirations than the Senate, a recent poll published by Newsweek suggests he’s not even the most popular potential candidate from Florida, trailing governor Ron DeSantis by as much as 50-percent.
