Poll: A majority of Americans think the worst of the pandemic is still to come

A majority of Americans believe the worst of the pandemic is still ahead of us.

That’s according to a new Pew Research Center poll, which reveals 54 percent of the country’s residents think the end of the pandemic is still a long way off.

On the vaccination front, the poll found 73 percent of Americans have received at least one shot, while 25 percent haven’t received any. The lowest vaccination rates were found among Republicans, “Republican leaners,” White evangelical Protestants and people with no health insurance, the poll reveals.
