Poll looks at the power of prayer as majority of Americans believe in calls for public prayers

A new poll claims the majority of Americans believe in the power of prayer.

The poll, conducted by Summit.org and McLaughlin and Associates, found 67% of American voters believe “public calls for prayer after a national tragedy are effective” and helpful.

It also found that the majority of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents all believe that public calls for prayer are important.

A majority of young people also said that they also supported public prayer, while 77% of those over 65 years old said they viewed public prayer calls as effective.
