Palm Beach County suspends worker who flew Trump flag on County Truck

He is said to have violated rules that ban politicking on county time or on county vehicles.

A construction project specialist who was working in the Palm Beach County engineering department has been suspended, without pay, for flying a Trump flag on a county vehicle after a motorist turned him in.

Randall Williams received a five-day suspension for violating rules aimed at eliminating political activities among county workers, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The newspaper reports that a motorists saw the flag flying on the driver’s side window, snapped a photo, and sent it to county officials.

The motorist told the Post that "while not all residents support the same political party, county vehicles are paid for by the taxpayer and therefore should “stay totally neutral.”

Williams, who has worked for the county for 24-years, can appeal the suspension.
