Not just Florida - large snake rescued after slithering into New York storm drain

It’s not everyday people in New York state see a huge snake.

A woman caught a large, non-native snake slithering into a storm drain in the Nanuet area of Clarkstown on Sunday (September 12th).

A local reptile enthusiast worked with a police officer to reach into the drain and extract the snake, which is believed to be a pet that escaped or was abandoned by its owner.
