2020 Back to School Sales Tax Holiday starts Friday

Since many students are heading back to school next week, what better time to take advantage of some back to school sales than during the 2020 sales tax holiday?

This year is especially essential to some parents, given the pandemic and the potential need for supplies so students can do virtual learning at home. During this sales tax holiday period, the exemption ONLY applies to the following:

- Clothes, footwear, and specific accessories that sell for $60 or less per item

- Certain school supplies that sell for $15 or less per item

- First $1,000 of the sales price for personal computers and certain related accessories that are intended for non-commercial home or personal use.

The sales tax holiday begins Friday, August 7th and ends on Sunday, August 9th.
