Orlando, Fla. — It was a normal Monday for the Most Magical Place on Earth, but as Dorian inches ever closer, the Mouse is not taking any chances for Tuesday.
Disney has announced on twitter "Based on the most recent forecasts for Hurricane Dorian and in keeping with our longstanding commitment to safety, Walt Disney World Resort operating hours have been adjusted for Sep 3."
Here are the new park hours for Tuesday, September 3rd:
Magic Kingdom: 8 am-3 pm ( opening at 7 am for Extra Magic Hours)
Epcot: 7 am-3 pm
Hollywood Studios: 9 am-2 pm( opening at 6 am for Extra Magic Hours)
Animal Kingdom: 8 am-2 pm( opening at 7 am for Extra Magic Hours)
Disney Springs: 10 am-3 pm
ESPN Wide World of Sports: Closed
Blizzard Beach Water Park: Closed
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf: 10 am-3 pm
Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf: 10 am-3 pm
The hotels will remain open, but the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will be closed and will reopen when it is safe to do so.
The after hours at Animal Kingdom have been canceled, so if you pre-purchased an event ticket, you can exchange it for another after hour event this year, the Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party this year, a 1 Day Flexible Date Ticket with a Park Option that you can use prior to December 31, 2020, or simply receive a refund. To do that, call 407-939-7818 before December 15, 2019.
On Tuesday, they will honor all theme park dining reservations up to an hour before the park closes. Resort dining reservations will be honored until 5:30 pm. They say there is no need to cancel, but all pre-paid dining and other experiences outside of the modified hours will automatically be canceled and refunded.
