Universal says unvaccinated workers no longer need weekly testing

Orlando, Fla. — Universal Orlando has once again updated its COVID policy for its team members. Under the new rule, vaccination status is still mandatory, but being vaccinated is no longer required and proof is optional. This means that any unvaccinated employees no longer are required to undergo weekly COVID testing.

This change is in response to the Supreme Court’s recent decision to strike down the Biden Administration’s vaccine or testing mandate on January 13th.

However, Team Members are encouraged to get vaccinated through April 9th of this year and will get paid if they have to miss work due to the side effects of the booster or vaccine.
