Salvation Army in Orlando set to give out meals this Thanksgiving

Orlando, Fla. — Because of the pandemic, it is understandable that some people may not get to enjoy a nice, warm Thanksgiving meal this season. However, the Salvation Army in Orlando is doing its part to make sure folks don’t go hungry this year.

Hundreds of volunteers will be handing out thousands of meals at the HOPEsgiving event today at The Salvation Army’s Orlando Area Command gymnasium at 440 West Colonial Drive. Since COVID is still a thing, there will be limited seating outdoors and the meals will be in to go boxes.

The event lasts from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the limit is on meal per person. You can find more info about the event here.
