OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A lockdown was lifted at several Osceola County schools after the school district reported police activity nearby.
St. Cloud High School, St. Cloud Middle School, Michigan Avenue Elementary School and Osceola Virtual School were included in the lockdown, school officials said.

Officials said the lockdown was strictly a precaution.
All students and staff members are safe on campus.

The incident law enforcement officers are responding to does not involve any of the schools, the school district reported.
The St. Cloud Police Department reported that a person is barricaded in a house near the schools.
There were no reports of a shooting or injuries, police said.
