Universal Orlando moves to full capacity, company CEO announces

ORLANDO, Fla. — Universal Orlando Resort has ramped up to full capacity, the company CEO announced Monday.

“(We’re) so very pleased with how the theme park in Orlando is doing. and we really have no capacity constraints there anymore,” NBCUniversal CEO Jef Shell said during a virtual conference.

Shell said ramping up to full capacity is “going pretty smoothly.”

The announcement comes on the heels of Universal Orlando saying it would be raising its wage rate to $15, and just a few days after the opening of the latest attraction at Islands of Adventure, the Jurassic World VelociCoaster.
