How you can help Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando following fire

ORLANDO, Fla. — Community members across Central Florida are looking for ways to help Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando following a devastating fire at the organization’s Orlando location.

Officials from the shelter said 17 cats died in the fire, but all of the dogs and 24 cats that were housed at the facility were able to be rescued.

The organization is accepting monetary donations on its website for anyone looking to help. Click here to donate.

Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando officials also said they need towels, blankets and wet cat food. Supplies can be dropped off at the Sanford location located at 2800 County Home Road.

“We greatly, greatly appreciate everybody’s compassionate support around this,” Executive Director Steve Bardy said.
