ORLANDO, Fla. — A “noise” scare sent people fleeing Monday night during the fireworks display at Lake Eola Park, Orlando Police said.

3:45 a.m. update:

The Orlando Police Department said investigators are still working to determine what let to Monday night’s “confusion” during its Fireworks at the Fountain event.

Police are asking for the public’s help. People who were in the area of Lake Eola Park at approximately 9:50 p.m. and who have possible tips are asked to call OPD at 321-235-5300 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS(8477).

Orlando police say all families at the Family Reunification Center have been reunited.

OPD said the City of Orlando’s Parks Team has collected all remaining personal belongings abandoned at Lake Eola Park. Those looking to claim lost items should email eolahouse@orlando.gov for instructions on retrieving belongings.

Update: Orlando police said they have set up a lost and found at Lake Eola.

Police said attendees are more than welcome to return to the park to retrieve them as officers remain in the area to ensure you can do so safely.

A lost and found area has also been set up at Rosalind Avenue and East Robinson Street, police said.

Update: Orlando police tweeted that a noise during the fireworks show confused some spectators, causing people to run from the scene.

No serious injuries have been reported, but some spectators suffered minor injuries after falling during the commotion as people fled, police said.

A family reunification designated area has been set up at North Rosalind Avenue and East Robinson Street.

Orlando police said there is “NO evidence of a shooting” in the Lake Eola area after video on social media showed crowds running from the scene during the Fourth of July fireworks Monday evening.

Police said they are working to secure the scene, and there is no public safety hazard at this time.
