New poll: Biden losing ground to Democratic field

According to a newly released poll, Democratic Presidential front-runner Joe Biden still leads the field of Democrats running for President, but the former Vice President is losing ground to some of the other candidates.

The Quinnipiac University poll also asked voters about President Donald Trump’s approval rating, impeachment and the recent killing of a top Iranian general by the United States.

In the Democratic primary, Quinnipiac reports Biden gets 25-percent support among Democrat voters and independents who lean Democratic.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is second with 19-percent support, followed by Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren with 16-percent.  Former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg is getting 8-percent support and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg receives 6-percent.

On the issue of impeachment, 51-percent of voters approve of the House of Representatives’ vote to impeach President Trump while 46-percent do not.  When asked whether the Senate should vote to remove Trump from office, voters are divided 48 - 46-percent.

When it comes to how the President is handling Iran, 51-percent of voters disapprove, while 43-percent approve.
