National Chicken Wing Day: Where to find the deals

Orlando, Fla. — Just in case you needed an excuse to eat chicken wings, today is National Chicken Wing Day and there are free wings to be had.

July 29 marks National Chicken Wing Day, a day devoted to all things wings. Established in 1977 by Stan Makowski, the then-mayor of Buffalo, N.Y., the holiday originally celebrated Buffalonians’ penchant for consuming “thousands of pounds of chicken wings” at restaurants every week, according to the New York Times.

Many popular restaurants are of course offering deals, especially those named for wings.

*Buffalo Wild Wings is giving customers 6 free wings with the order of any size order of wings.

*Kerr’s Wing House has the best deal, buy ANY amount of wings, get that many for free!

*Applebee’s is offering customers a buy one, get one free deal online or through the mobile app. The offer is specifically for to go or delivery.

*Duffy’s Sports Grill is offering 10 wings for $10

*Hooters is offering dine in customers 10 free boneless wings with the purchase of any 10 wings.

I called multiple Miller’s Ale House locations and was told they were not having a special, sorry!
