Great spots to see Christmas lights in Central Florida

Orlando, Fla — With cool weather moving back in this weekend, it’s the perfect time to get out and enjoy some dazzling Christmas light displays.

Here are eight fan favorite spots to hit in Central Florida:

1. Santa’s Winter Wonderland Village at Waterford Lakes Town Center in Orlando.

The annual winter festival includes Santa’s Workshop, holiday foods, amusement rides and thousands of Christmas lights and holiday displays.

The event is open every day until Jan. 3.

2. Cranes Roost park Holiday Lights

Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs has transformed into a winter wonderland. The park features more than 100 holiday displays with more than 200,000 lights.

The event also features a nightly fountain show complete with dancing water and lights choreographed to holiday music

3. Celebration Winter Wonderland

Celebration Town Center is decorated for the holidays and it’s Now Snowing-Celebration’s Winter Wonderland is taking place nightly from Nov. 28 through Dec. 31.

The event features nightly snowfalls, an express train and horse and carriage rides.

Now Snowing-Celebration’s Winter Wonderland parking and admission are free.

4. Night of a Million Lights

The Give Kids the World Village has transformed into a winter wonderland of more than 3 million lights. From Nov. 13 to Jan. 3, visitors can see several light displays, including a 150-foot lighted tunnel that leads to decorated family villas, large holiday-themed displays, a gingerbread arch and more

Tickets range from $25 to $40 for adults and $15 to $20 for children, depending on which night you go.

5. Mount Dora Christmas Lights

Mount Dora will be lighting up more than 2 million sparkling lights in Donnelly Park and throughout the downtown area every night through the holiday season. The annual Light Up Mount Dora event is canceled for 2020 but you can still see plenty of lights nightly.

6. Magic of Lights

The Daytona International Speedway is decorated for the holidays. The event, which runs from Nov. 13 to Jan. 2, will offer a drive-thru holiday lights extravaganza. More than a million lights are on display, including a candy cane lane, snowflake forest and a tunnel of lights.

Tickets are $25 if purchased online.


7. Space Coast Lightfest

If you’re a fan of drive-thru displays, the Space Coast Lightfest in Melbourne is happening from Nov. 13 to Jan. 3.

Visitors can enjoy more than 3 million lights at this holiday drive-thru attraction. The event also features a 200-foot lighted tunnel.

Anyone who brings in an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots will get a discount at the gate.

Tickets are $15 per car.

8. Christmas at Gaylord Palms

Christmas at Gaylord Palms is hosting an event that allows families to explore acres of twinkling lights and decorations.

The holiday event features more than 15 festive activities with live performances, including Cirque Dreams Unwrapped, a festive breakfast with the Grinch and ice tubing on the Snow Flow Mountain. The event runs through Jan. 3.
