Governor Rick Scott says one of the Republican candidates for president is a lot like him.
After Herman Cain's surprising victory in this weekend's Florida straw poll, a lot of people are talking about him, including the governor. He says the key to Cain's win was that he campaigned a lot in Florida, so voters had a chance to hear him.
Scott is even comparing Cain's story to his.
"He was an outsider, started out with no money, had success in business, so it's very similar to my story, and I think it resonated with people," said Scott.
He tells us Cain's success in Florida shows the other politicians have their work cut out for them.
"The other candidates are gonna have to spend more time in Florida," said Scott. "They're gonna have to get their jobs message out because that's the key of this election."
Scott appeared Monday on Central Florida's Morning News.
