Orlando, Fla. — The FAA Air Traffic Control Center in Hilliard is closed for extensive cleaning due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19.
This is the second time in 2021 that the center has closed for cleaning.
This closing may cause extensive delays and/or cancellations at the Jacksonville International Airport, check with your airline directly for your flight status.
At Orlando International Airport, only eight flights are listed as ‘Delayed,’ as of 4 p.m. Wednesday.

On Jan. 4, the Hilliard Center was closed down for cleaning after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
A spokesperson for the FAA said the Hilliard facility covers flights from the panhandle to Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa.
It also covers flights in Southeast Georgia and South Carolina.
