Disney “computer glitch” overcharges annual passholders

Orlando, Fla —

Even though Disney’s theme parks have not yet reopened, many of their annual passholders took to social media Friday afternoon, claiming that they had been charged with four months worth of payments.

On April 5, the company announced that they would stop and waive monthly payments while the parks were closed and would resume the regularly scheduled payment dates once the parks reopen. However, due to what Guest service cast members called a “computer glitch”, some passholders were overcharged.

In an official statement, Disney said “Passholders on the monthly payment program were incorrectly charged today. We are in the process of reversing these charges and apologize for the inconvenience this caused.”
