As Hurricane Dorian continues to make way towards our neighborhood, its important to know not just where you can go in case you need to evacuate, but also a safe place to take your pets with you. Here are a list of shelters for you and your furry companions that will be available as the storm gets closer.

Orange County- Shelters open at 8 a.m. Sunday.

Regular shelters: 

- Cypress Creek High School

- Discovery Middle School

- Phillips High School

- Edgewater High School

- Evans High School

- Freedom Middle School

- Ocoee High School

- Windermere High School

Pet friendly Shelters:

- Apopka High School

- East River High School

- Lake Nona High School

- Oak Ridge High School

Please note that the shelters do not provide or allow cots. Contact 311 if you require a Special Needs or Medical shelter.

Osceola County- Shelters open at noon on Sunday

Regular shelters:

- St Cloud High School

- Horizon Middle School

Pet friendly shelters: 

-Harmony High School

- Kissimmee Middle School

- Liberty High School

Anyone who comes to these shelters are advised to bring their own personal supplies and pet supplies.
