Governor Ron Desantis paid a visit to central Florida Thursday morning to sign the state’s new fiscal budget into law.
Governor DeSantis signed the $101.5 billion budget during a press conference at the Garlic restaurant in New Smyrna Beach.

Included in the budget is $169 million in tax relief for Floridians.
DeSantis also vetoed $1.5 billion in total spending from the budget while stowing $9.5 billion in reserves.
The Florida Department of Transportation will get more than $10 billion while the budget includes $625 million for environmental protection efforts and another $550 million for education.
